He graduated from Hongik University’s Department of Video Media where he honed his distinctive artistic vision. His art is characterized by vibrant depictions of robots, blending elements of pop culture, animation, and technological themes to create works that resonate with a wide audience. Central to Anikoon’s practice is his fascination with robots as symbols of nostalgia and progress. Drawing inspiration from his childhood fascination with toys and cartoons, he uses these mechanical figures as a bridge between the past and present. His works reflect on the evolving relationship between humanity and technology, incorporating bright colors, dynamic compositions, and playful forms that evoke both joy and introspection. Anikoon has exhibited extensively in South Korea and internationally. His notable solo exhibition, One Small Step for Robot, One Giant Leap for Robot Kind (2023) at Gallery Jang, highlighted his innovative approach to storytelling through both 2D and 3D works.
