Urban Spectrum: Variations
Miguel Angel Iglesias
MAY 8 – JUN 17, 2025
Urban Spectrum: Variations invites viewers into a contemplative realm where architecture and abstraction converge. For Miguel Angel Iglesias, the canvas is not simply a surface—it is a site of exploration where structure becomes sensation, and form becomes memory. Working with layered grids, subtle asymmetries, and architectural echoes, Iglesias crafts compositions that evoke both the geometry of the built environment and the fluidity of human perception. His work resists categorization: it neither fully represents nor entirely abstracts. Instead, it meditates on the in-between—on the quiet tension between the visible and the invisible, the controlled and the intuitive.
This New York solo exhibition marks a poignant resonance. In a city where verticality and velocity dominate, Iglesias offers pause. His visual language mirrors urban life not through literal representation, but through rhythmic variations, interruptions, and restrained dissonance. The result is a series of works that feel less like depictions and more like encounters—reminding us that every city has its own metaphysical logic, shaped not only by space, but by presence, emotion, and time.

Where Past and Future are Gathered
SHANE GUFFOGG
APR 10 – MAY 24, 2025
Shane Guffogg is an internationally celebrated contemporary painter whose abstract works bridge the emotive depth of classical traditions with the innovative spirit of modern abstraction. Born in California’s San Joaquin Valley in 1962, Guffogg grew up surrounded by vast landscapes and open skies that profoundly shaped his artistic vision. He studied at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) under the mentorship of influential artists like John Baldessari, where he developed his distinctive approach to exploring light, space, and the human experience through painting. Guffogg’s style is defined by intricate layers of translucent oil paint, meticulously applied in a glazing technique that creates depth and luminosity. His paintings feature rhythmic, looping forms that seem to flow endlessly, evoking the sensation of movement and infinity. The works often oscillate between sharp clarity and soft diffusion, inviting viewers into a contemplative interplay between light, color, and form. Drawing inspiration from Renaissance masters such as Rembrandt and Caravaggio, as well as Abstract Expressionists like Mark Rothko, Guffogg’s works transcend time and tradition, resonating with universal themes of perception, spirituality, and transformation.

SOLO EXHIBITION
Illuminated Silence
Jimi Gleason
May 29 – June 28, 2025
Illuminated Silence marks the final chapter of Coast to Coast, a solo project by Jimi Gleason that began in April with simultaneous exhibitions at William Turner Gallery in Los Angeles and Gallery Chang in New York, now culminating in Seoul. Connecting both U.S. coasts, the exhibition explores how Gleason’s reflective paintings—created with metallic pigments and special materials—shift in response to light and viewer movement. These mirror-like works transcend visual imagery, reflecting thought and emotion while merging physical surface with sensory depth. The show captures the poetic tension between light and stillness, presenting both key pieces and new works that highlight the evolution of Gleason’s practice.
