INTRO
Gallery Chang is pleased to present K-Art Show, on view from March 8 through May 4, 2024, at Gallery Chang Middletown. Bringing together a diverse group of contemporary Korean artists, the exhibition explores a wide range of artistic languages, materials, and sensibilities through painting, sculpture, textile, and mixed media works.
Featuring works by Moon Insoo, Oh Kwanjin, Woo Jiyeon, Park Giselle, Anon, Anikoon, and Kim Mine, the exhibition reflects the multiplicity of contemporary Korean art today. While each artist approaches form and material differently, the exhibition as a whole reveals shared concerns surrounding perception, structure, memory, gesture, and emotional resonance.
K-Art Show offered audiences in Middletown an opportunity to encounter emerging and established voices from Korea within a single exhibition, creating a dialogue between abstraction, figuration, material experimentation, and contemporary sensibility.
